How do you earn the player points? For $1 paid in tournament fees, a player gets 5 player points. In cash games things are different. For $0.10 paid in rake a player receives in average 6 player points, but again this is not a rule, as it depends on many aspects: the size of the pot, the limit they play at and the number of players that are at the cash games table.
